Save the Bay

For Save the Bay I was asked to do a redesign for their aquarium to be more friendly and inviting then to apply this theme across numerous outlets such as flags, signs as well as name cards for the fish they rescue. When developing the theme I found that children especially reacted more in illustrations rather than photos. First I developed a diamond pattern for the water backgrounds. Next I illustrated the creatures using simple colors and overlay which was referred to as the “Awesome Series.”

Every month the Aquarium runs a nautical theme promotion which can range from creatures to equipment. I was asked to illustrate these themes into handouts so that they can be displayed around the aquarium. These handouts also came with a scavenger hunt the kids could use as reference when visiting the aquarium. I was also requested to design a large graphic which which would be displayed in each individual panel of the garage used to connect the aquarium to beach they are currently located on.

Lastly I was tasked with developing children’s mascot to be used in future promotional material so I worked on developing a bass which we labeled “Benry”. Benry would go on to be featured on the monthly scavenger hunts as well as be used in a promotional booklet I was tasked to put together detailing all services the aquarium offers.
