One of my favorite characters is Mr. Freeze from Batman Animated Series. What makes him so interesting is the twist that his wife, Lazara, is the exact opposite in powers and personality. I got the idea for this piece after watching the holiday special The Year Without a Santa Claus where I noticed many similarities Mr. Freeze and Lazara had to the Snow and Heat Misers from the special.
When designing I wanted to incorporate the dark theme from the animated series. This meant including a black noir palette combined with sharp lines and solid bright colors. To wrap it altogether I included lines for the Miser songs matching it to the specific character.
