Following the success of Brice and Wen PresentĀ I was approached by Azah Awasum a contestant from the reality show Big BrotherĀ who sought to combine reality tv with her high end cooking called House Chops. The plan was during the summer for Azah and House Chops to go around the country to see episodes of the new season of Big Brother with fans all while overseeing the cooking and sharing her food recipes.
The first step was creating a new logo. There were only 2 requests during production. Make it pink and tie is back to disco. Azah was heavily influenced by dance party style so using elements from disco i.e. stretched round letter I created 2 versions of her logo in a stacked version and horizontal version using and outline of Azah herself.
Next, was the creation of the collateral which involved an announcement flyer and 5 flyers for each city. The theme for the flyers was beach party with generous amounts of pinks. For each flyer I used a new color with the pink to identify each city. I also developed new logos using the new House Chops logo including identifiable buildings from each particular city.
Seeing to offer foods fans could bring home Azah suggested developing food packaging based on famous Big Brother moments such as Blindside Butterbeans, Taylor Hales famous snack Lay’s and Azah’s own original creation the Puff Puff which was decorated in Cameroon patterns to tie back to Azah’s heritage.
