My coworkers daughter is a big Harry Potter fan and was also celebrating her bridal shower so she sought a way to combine the two. I was commissioned to make bridal invitations keeping the Harry Potter theme but make an entertaining aesthetic to display the information.
For this design I chose to base the invitation on a Hogwarts Express ticket. This played into the importance of receiving the invitation where as receiving a Hogwarts ticket is such a rare thing it played off of the exclusivity. Also keeping with theme I gave it the appearance of appearing on parchment paper and using scripted and more good natured roman fonts to recreate the Harry Potter theme.
